Instructional Book Available

Landscape Painting - Inside and Out.

Order a
signed hard bound copy today
for $29.99 plus $8.95 for shipping and handling, (Priority Mail).

My first book, Fill Your Oil Paintings with Light and Color, has guided many beginning and struggling artists with its simple approach to
picture making. For me, seeing the world through the eyes of an artist and sharing the gifts of art have been most rewarding.

This book will encourage you to let your intuition rule when you paint outdoors. Step-by-step demonstrations and stimulating practice exercised in the studio will prepare you for your adventures outside. I encourage you to paint both outdoors and inside. Contemplative study
in the solitude of your studio is important to your develop-ment into a highly skilled passionate plein air painter. A balanced approach in which you work both indoors and outdoors will foster your growth as an artist painting with purpose.

The great painters of the past created thoughtful art in the studios with no loss of the vitality and spontaneity we associate with painting outdoors. We will explore ways to relive the outdoor experience, enlarge our ideas and refine
our compositions.

Discover the secrets to retaining the vitality, spontaneity and harmony
of painting outdoors, while using your picture-making skills to create a more thoughtful and powerful statement.

Full of fresh air and fresh art, Landscape Painting Inside and Out will guide and encourage beginners while challenging more accomplished artists to bring greater vitality and a
more natural, less formulaic finish
to their paintings. Total of 144 pages.

LANDSCAPE PAINTING INSIDE AND OUT REVIEWS
The book fills a void left by others in seeing the importance and relationship of the outdoor and studio painting experiences. – Paul

Mouth Watering!
It’s like Starbust meets oil paining. –Tom

I just purchased your new book…and it is GREAT. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and techniques. It will be a wonderful help
to many of us playing with oils. – Bill

Very insightful! It opened my eyes to things I had not explored yet. – John

I thoroughly enjoyed your new book, read it cover to cover! - Jeff

Today I purchased your new book and could not put it down. The key sentence for me in your book was that age has really nothing
to do with it! - Jim

I’ve been very frustrated with painting this last year and receiving this book has given me inspiration. I did read “Wanda’s Story” and found it quite encouraging. It was like she was talking directly to me. – Jan

I found it very amazing that although “Light and Color” seemed to cover just about everything, then  came this new book and even added more. Kudos! - Valerie

Commentary  from the judge.
"The total package is awesome and truly inspiring".

"There are no words to describe the beauty of this book. It speaks for itself. The poetically handled text complements the paintings, both therefore offering the reader/spectator new insights and new appreciation. Having been inspired by viewing these pictures and reading
these words, the reader will never again be blinded to the seemingly simple scenes that constitute daily life. The artist, the commentators, the publisher-all have excelled. This book is a work of art. I cannot imagine anyone not wanting a copy of it".

WOW! I love it – Especially the “interview” which is very informative. This book is a real surprise – much more to it than I expected which is FANTASTIC! I plan to tell everyone to buy a copy! - Colleen

The pond series absolutely floored me. Your words and your work  made a huge impression on me. First your work  made me smile, then your words made me think.  - Antrese

My book arrived yesterday – what a sensory overload! Stunning and really helpful too – color, paint texture, mood, wow! Thanks for sending it so quick, I was so excited. - Betsy

What a labor of love, and diligence, and inspiration to aspiring artists like me. - Virginia

This book is a true work of art in its own right. Because of the amazing variety of paintings, designs and color harmonies, I had to keep reminding myself that all the marvelously varied and individual paintings represent a single location! One comes away from this book with the truth that the beauty of nature is surely inexhaustible if, like Kevin, we simply take the time to look! – Scott Burdick

Reading it and seeing the paintings you did inspired me – got my juices going, and for the first time since June First, I am anxious to paint again. – Bob

What a beautiful book and tremendous venture. It came in the mail yesterday and we could not put it down. It is amazing, too, how every day is so unique and different. We have thought about that many times…there’s never been a day just like today! – Rebecca

Beyond art it’s a doorway to your very intimate personality and who you are. – Ronaldo

It has quickly become my bathroom book in the morning…what great inspiration for the day. – Raleigh

I especially like the close ups of your palette and the commentary in the back. I have barely started. – Joy

I started reading your book and I don’t read art books because I find them soooo boring. But I have found yours to be very inspiring and it reminds me what art is really all about. – Ron
